چکیده
Lignocellulose is considered one of the significant recalcitrant materials and also difficult to break down because its complex structure. Different microbes such as bacteria fungi are responsible for breaking these lignin structures. This article discussed briefly lignin-degrading their critical steps involved in depolymerization. In addition, regarded ideal microorganism degradation highly effective hydrolytic oxidative enzyme systems breakdown lignocellulosic materials. The white rot fungi, mainly belonging basidiomycetes, main degrader among various microorganisms. could be achieved presence lignolytic enzymes laccases, peroxidases, manganese peroxidases. significance enzyme’s role depolymerization, along with mechanism chemical pathways, emphasized this article.

Polymerization of pentachlorophenol and ferulic acid by fungal extracellular lignin-degrading enzymes.
High-molecular-weight polymers were produced by a crude concentrated supernatant from ligninolytic Phanerochaete chrysosporium cultures in a reaction mixture containing pentachlorophenol and a humic acid precursor (ferulic acid) in the presence of a detergent and H2O2. Pure manganese peroxidase, lignin peroxidase, and laccase were also shown to catalyze the reaction.
متن کاملLignin-degrading enzymes
The substantial potential applications of lignin-degrading microbes and enzymes have spurred research on lignin biodegradation in recent years. As described here, that research has led to the discovery in the basidiomycete Phanerochaete chrysosporium of the first lignin-degrading enzymes and elucidation of their mode of action. A family of powerful extracellular peroxidase isoenzymes has been t...
متن کاملStructure and catalytic mechanism of LigI: insight into the amidohydrolase enzymes of cog3618 and lignin degradation.
LigI from Sphingomonas paucimobilis catalyzes the reversible hydrolysis of 2-pyrone-4,6-dicarboxylate (PDC) to 4-oxalomesaconate and 4-carboxy-2-hydroxymuconate in the degradation of lignin. This protein is a member of the amidohydrolase superfamily of enzymes. The protein was expressed in Escherichia coli and then purified to homogeneity. The purified recombinant enzyme does not contain bound ...
متن کاملDetermination of lignin-modifying enzymes (LMEs) in Hyphodermella species using biochemical and molecular techniques
White-rot basidiomycetes are one of the most important lignolytic microorganisms. These fungi have been reported to secrete three main classes of lignin degrading enzymes: lignin peroxidases (LiPs), manganese peroxidases (MnPs) and laccases. In this study, for the first time the lignin degrading capability of two plant pathogens i.e. Hyphodermella rosae and H. corrugata was evaluated using both...
متن کاملFungal Degradation of Lignin: Chapter 2
Of all naturally produced organic chemicals, lignin is probably the most recalcitrant. This is consistent with its biological functions, which are to give vascular plants the rigidity they need to stand upright and to protect their structural polysaccharides (cellulose and hemicelluloses) from attack by other organisms. Lignin is the most abundant aromatic compound on earth, and is second only ...
